The Viña del Mar International Song Festival is one of the largest and most important music events in Latin America, held annually in the resort city of Viña del Mar, Chile. The festival's audience is famously passionate and demanding — performers can receive either a 'Silver Seagull' (Gaviota de Plata) for excellence or be booed off stage.
